How we work

The pace of this site

We have published 73 articles so far, at a pace of about 24 per month over the last three months. We prefer this measured pace to a faster one: it leaves time to check every fact before publishing. First article published on June 14, 2026.

Behind the articles

We never publish an article without a byline: every piece links back to its author's page.

Anjali Rao For context: Anjali is a travel and technology writer who has criss-crossed India by train, plane and rickshaw. At India eSIM she tests travel data plans on Jio, Airtel and Vi and explains how visitors can stay online affordably…

Keeping content current

Each article shows its publication date and is updated whenever something it covers changes: a price, a rule, a practice. If we can no longer keep it current, we remove it instead of leaving it outdated online.

Found a mistake, an outdated fact, or a broken link? Reach out and we will sort it out quickly.

A note on our links

Some articles link to third-party sites, sometimes partners. Those links change neither the content nor the angle of the article: we do not recommend a solution because it is a partner, and we do not leave out an alternative because it is not.

The focus of India eSIM

indiasim.com focuses on staying connected in India — comparing Jio, Airtel and Vi eSIM data plans, recharging a Jio number, reading an India tourist map for travel planning — and occasionally troubleshoots eSIM issues for other less-common destinations like Turkmenistan or Argentina and Brazil. The site doesn’t cover visa requirements, vaccination rules or other trip-logistics topics unrelated to mobile connectivity: the scope stays on data plans and staying online, not general trip planning. Topics are picked from the real friction travelers hit — which network to choose, how to recharge, why an eSIM won’t activate in a specific country — rather than a fixed list of destinations.

This choice is deliberate: better to cover one subject thoroughly than ten superficially. Content outside our field does not belong here, no matter how popular.
